Where Each Movement
Receives Its Due Attention
Rembau Tempo offers measured, careful horological care for mechanical and complication timepieces. From structured servicing to considered restoration — each piece handled with patience and precision.
Our Services
Horological Care, Precisely Considered
Movement Care & Service
A structured service approach for mechanical, automatic, and entry-level complication calibres. Begins with a written intake assessment, followed by full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, and multi-day rate observation before return.
- Written intake & rate assessment
- Full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
- Regulation on professional timing equipment
- Multi-day rate observation
Crown & Stem Replacement
A focused service for crown and winding stem assemblies affected by wear, impact, or gasket degradation. All sealing gaskets are renewed and pressure testing confirms water resistance integrity at the watch's stated rating.
- Crown threading and stem engagement examination
- Correctly specified replacement parts
- All gaskets renewed throughout assembly
- Pressure testing to rated water resistance
Considered Restoration Programme
An extended pathway for watches requiring deeper attention — pieces stored for many years, with impact damage, or acquired without service documentation. Conservation is favoured over refinishing. A photographic record covers each major stage.
- Full movement service with case restoration
- Owner consulted at each major decision point
- Photographic record of each stage
- Written condition report on completion
Why Rembau Tempo
The Character of Our Approach
Owner Consultation Throughout
You are kept informed and consulted at every meaningful decision point — no work proceeds without your knowledge. Particularly relevant for restoration work where choices affect long-term character.
Precision-Rated Timing Equipment
Every calibre that passes through the atelier is regulated and measured on professional timing machines, assessing rate performance across multiple positions before the piece is returned.
Water Resistance Verified
Pressure testing is carried out on all applicable pieces following gasket renewal and reassembly, confirming water resistance integrity at the reference's original stated rating.
Photographic Documentation
For restoration work, a photographic record accompanies each significant stage. A written condition report is prepared on completion, providing you with a clear picture of the work undertaken.
Conservation Over Cosmetics
Patinated surfaces are preserved where appropriate rather than polished away. Our view is that age and wear, handled thoughtfully, form part of a piece's identity and long-term character.
Horological-Grade Solvents
Component cleaning is conducted through staged ultrasonic processes with solvents and lubricants selected specifically for horological use, not adapted from general mechanical servicing.
A Considered Next Step
Is Your Timepiece Due for Attention?
An intake assessment takes a few minutes and begins with a written record of your watch's current behaviour. There is no obligation — only the information you need to make an informed decision about your piece.
