Whose Watches We Have Cared For
The most useful account of our work comes from those who have experienced it. Owners who brought pieces with different histories and specific concerns — and who can describe what happened from intake to collection.

What Our Clients Say
Ahmad Hafizuddin
Kuala Lumpur — Movement Care
My ETA 2824-based daily wearer had been running consistently slow for about a year. I'd been putting the service off because I wasn't sure where to take it. A friend pointed me to Rembau Tempo. Farizal was direct from the start — explained what the written assessment would cover, said he'd call if anything came up outside the standard scope. The watch came back running within a few seconds per day and everything was documented clearly. Good people doing careful work.

Petaling Jaya — Restoration Programme
I brought in a watch that belonged to my late father — a piece he wore for thirty years with no service documentation. I was nervous about what they'd do to it aesthetically. From the first conversation, Farizal was clear: no polishing unless I asked. He photographed at every stage, called me when he found a crown tube gasket issue, and waited for my approval. Twelve weeks later I received it back with a written report. The watch runs well and still looks like his.

Subang Jaya — Crown & Stem
Crown took a hard knock and the winding went loose immediately. Sent an enquiry that evening, got a response the next morning asking for details on the reference and current behaviour. The service covered a new crown to spec, new stem, and a pressure test. About two and a half weeks from drop-off to collection. Winding action is exactly how I remember it. One thing to note — parking on Jalan Pinang takes planning, so budget a few extra minutes.

Ipoh — Movement Care
I drove down from Ipoh specifically for this and I'd do it again. The intake was thorough — they noted current amplitude, rate across positions, and a slight moisture trace inside the crystal. All addressed as part of the service. They sent a message midway when they found a worn mainspring, explained the options, and I approved the renewal. Came back running consistently. Worth the drive.

Kuala Lumpur — Restoration Programme
A vintage dress watch from an estate sale — movement hadn't been serviced in who knows how long. The restoration programme was the right choice. Fourteen weeks, which I'd been warned about upfront, so no issue there. The photographic record was genuinely useful and the completion report was clear. One small thing — a case screw came back with a slightly different finish. I raised it and Zulaikha offered to look at it again, which I appreciated. A four-star experience overall.

Shah Alam — Movement Care (repeat client)
Second time using Rembau Tempo. First was a Tudor, this time a Grand Seiko — different calibres, same level of attention. Farizal mentioned the mainspring renewal from my previous service without me bringing it up, which told me they keep proper records. The timing results on collection were better than I expected. Won't go anywhere else in the Klang Valley.

Restoration Programme · 2025
A 1970s Swiss dress watch acquired without service history
The Challenge
The piece arrived stopping intermittently and showing oil degradation across the movement. The dial had light foxing and the pusher crown was seized. No service records existed. The owner wanted to preserve the patina and intended the piece for long-term keeping.
The Work
Full movement service with staged cleaning and selective lubrication. Crown tube gasket and new crown sourced to period-appropriate specification. Case cleaned without buffing. Dial assessed — foxing stabilised, no treatment applied. Owner consulted at three decision points. Photographic record maintained throughout.
The Result
Movement running within original tolerance. Crown operating correctly. Patina fully preserved. Written condition report delivered with pre- and post-service documentation. Completed in 13 weeks.
"I didn't want it to look serviced. I wanted it to run properly and still look like it had been somewhere. That's exactly what came back."
Crown & Stem Replacement · 2025
A daily sports reference with impact damage to the crown assembly
The Challenge
The crown had taken a direct impact. Winding became loose and imprecise immediately after. The owner noticed moisture ingress shortly following, suggesting crown tube seal failure. The watch was still running but the owner was unwilling to expose it to further moisture.
The Work
Examination confirmed crown thread damage and a failed tube gasket. Stem showed light bending at the shoulder. New crown sourced to correct specification; stem replaced. All gaskets renewed. Pressure testing completed at the watch's rated depth following reassembly.
The Result
Winding action restored. Water resistance confirmed at rated specification via pressure test. Completed in 17 days from intake to collection.
"They showed me the pressure test result on collection. I hadn't expected that — it gave me real confidence to take it back into daily use."
